Hi Everybody, People have left the Gorbals and settled all over the world, for a bit of fun ,who is the farthest away from the Gorbals ?

I am in France so not that far away . !!
I just looked back at your reply about John Pettigrew who was my older brother Billy's best pal.
Our family had moved to Knightswood in 1956 . John cycled over to see my brother from the south side and the last time that I remember seeing John was when he turned up with a friend out of the blue on
New Years Eve 1962. and the three of them went out to see in the New year .I know they had a blast
because my brother often spoke about it . For me I always thought it was good that John remembered
us and paid us that couple of visits. I am going to try and check out the information that you have
given about Giffnock but it is a long time ago. I always thought that John had a great sense of
humour.! It was thinking about him that triggered my curiosity in 2012 . I just wanted to thank him for not
forgetting us especially in those hard times .

Margaret is in New Jersey, there used to be a few from Australia and New Zealand but they haven't been coming on to the site also.
Don't go on facebook I've been on it once but doesn't appeal to me.
