Around 1930 Michael Davis shoemaker Lawmoor Street, lived near the police station, his wife Mary used to look after the lost children. Their grandaughter Molly (now 90) who married Andy Perry. Also Perry family from 141 Sandyfaulds Street - Andy, Julia, Tommy (around 1910-1940). Cairney and McCambridge family from Crown Street 1930 Thanks

I am looking for information on the Crawford family who lived in Cathedral Street Townhead during the twenties, when the man of the house died around the late forties early fifties. His daughter Nancy continued to reside in the house. She was married to a man called Alex Bremner. Her brother who was named William married an irish girl called Ruby. Nancy had 2 sons named Alex and James who I am sure still live in Glasgow.

Ten Quid..lived 77 Thistle St and hung about corner of Thistle/Cleland Streets. Oxford got blown up in '57. Remember because it was my first leave from army. I went to visit and it was gone. I was told it was to do with Arab/Israeli conflict. As you know there was a big Jewish presence then Who knows? And it was Vincent Okine not Peter. A.T.B. Joe
